17 keer was scheepsrecht deze keer. Het nummer op zijn lot, 0845, bleek zij geluksnummer te zijn. Khadar mag zich nu miljonair noemen dankzij de hoofdprijs van de Dubai Duty Free Millenium Millionaire loterij.
Het geld komt uiteraard goed van pas. Khadar had nog vier maanden te gaan tot zijn pensioen. Dankzij deze loterijprijs kan hij er in Dubai bij zijn werkgever eerder de brui aan geven en terugkeren naar zijn geboorteland, India.
Ook kan hij het geld goed gebruiken voor medische zorg voor zijn 21-jarige zoon. Deze 21-jarige zoon is gehandicapt omdat hij kort na zijn geboorte op de grond was gevallen. Khadar heeft al veel geld besteed aan medische zorg voor zijn zoon. Een paar jaar geleden was Khadar nog gedwongen om een flink bedrag te lenen om een operatie voor zijn zoon te kunnen betalen. Deze lening heeft hij dankzij de loterijwinst nu in een keer af kunnen betalen. Ook wil hij van dit geld de bruiloft van zijn dochter betalen.

Khadar is niet de eerste immigrant die een grote prijs wint in de Dubai Duty Free zoals deze loterij in de volksmond wordt genoemd. Aan deze loterij doen vooral immigranten mee die in Dubai werken onder vaak erbarmelijke omstandigheden. Voor deze arbeidsmigranten is deze loterij de kans om hun erbarmelijke bestaan in Dubai te ontvluchten.
