Speelt u mee bij de Postcodeloterij, Vriendenloterij of Bankgiro Loterij? Dan heeft een hacker de beschikking over uw persoonlijke en uw betaalgegevens. Hackers hebben namelijk ingebroken in het systeem van het bedrijf Open Offerte. Dit is een bedrijf dat namens de loterijen van de Nationale Goede Doelen Loterijen brieven, prijzen en cadeaubonnen verstuurt.
Wat de hackers precies gaan doen met uw gegevens is nog niet duidelijk, maar veel goeds zal het niet zijn.
Hacker heeft inzicht in gegevens spelers
Het was de hacker zelf die Open Offerte en de Nationale Goede Doelen Loterijen informeerde dat hij de gegevens in kon zien van alle klanten van deze loterijen. Onder de naam ‘Ndevnull’ wist hij zichzelf toegang te verschaffen tot de database van OpenOfferte met daarin gegevens van 450.000 loterijspelers. De hacker kon zodoende namen, adressen, telefoonnummers, e-mailadressen, geboortedata en bankrekeningnummers zien.
Nadat Open Offerte door de hacker was geïnformeerd over de hack, werd het computersysteem van het bedrijf uit de lucht gehaald. Dit op verzoek van de Nationale Goede Doelen Loterijen. Tot op heden ligt het systeem van Open Offerte er nog uit. Het beveiligingslek is kennelijk nog niet gedicht.
Nationale Goede Doelen Loterij bagatelliseert gevolgen hack
Als we Martijn van Klaveren, woordvoerder bij de Nationale Goede Doelen Loterijen, mogen geloven, is er weinig aan de hand. Van Klaveren vertelt:
Iedereen krijgt gegarandeerd zijn prijs. Het kan wel zijn dat sommige mensen hun prijs of cadeau iets later ontvangen dan gebruiokelijk is. Hoeveel prijswinnaars langer op hun prijs moeten wachten, weet van Klaveren niet. Dat moet nog uitgezocht worden.
Dat klinkt erg hoopvol. Het was een hacker die OpenOfferte uiteindelijk waarschuwde dat hij mee kon kijken in de database met klantgegevens, het beveiligingslek is tot op heden nog altijd niet gedicht en hoeveel mensen hun prijzen later ontvangen, moet nog uitgezocht worden.
Ook over misbruik van uw gegevens doet deze zelfde van Klaveren erg luchtig:
De gegevens van mensen liggen niet op straat. We hebben ook geen aanwijzging dat dat gaat gebeuren.
Een aparte uitspraak van Van Klaveren. Hij heeft geen informatie dat er misbruik gemaakt gaat worden van gegevens. Van Klaveren leeft kennelijk in een sprookjeswereld waarin hackers vooraf gedetailleerd uit de doeken doen wat ze met bepaalde gegevens gaan doen. Diezelfde Van Klaveren had ook geen informatie dat er was ingebroken in de database van Open Offerte.
Of de loterijen de samenwerking met Open Offerte voortzetten, is niet duidelijk gemaakt door Van Klaveren.
