Reclame: iedereen krijgt er wekelijks heel wat van in huis. Niet alleen supermarkten en andere winkelketens verspreiden het, maar zelfs allerlei andere organisaties. Daarnaast probeert ook menig loterij tegenwoordig mensen via de brievenbus te bereiken. Alles in de hoop dat mensen meedoen aan loterijen.
Sommigen lezen deze reclame aandachtig door, terwijl andere het direct bij het oud papier gooien. Veel mensen besteden geen aandacht aan de hoeveelheid reclame, maar een enkeling maakt zich er behoorlijk boos over.
Veel te veel reclame
Loterijen versturen steeds vaker reclame via de post. Een daarvan is de Postcode Loterij. Soms valt er wekelijks wel een enveloppe met reclame van de loterij in de bus. Bijzonder irritant natuurlijk wanneer je hier helemaal niet op zit te wachten. Amsterdammer Thomas Schlijper was er naar eigen zeggen helemaal klaar mee. Deze man heeft een ‘nee-nee-sticker’ op zijn deur. Dit houdt in dat hij dus geen reclame en ongeadresseerd drukwerk wil ontvangen.
De druppel die de emmer deed overlopen
Ondanks zijn ‘nee-nee-sticker’ bleef Schlijper maar reclame van de loterij ontvangen. Zo viel er onlangs weer een brief met de tekst ‘herinnering’ op zijn deurmat. Dit was voor hem de spreekwoordelijke druppel die de emmer deed overlopen.
Hij besloot dat het tijd werd om dit de loterij eens duidelijk te maken. Veel mensen doen hun beklag per post of telefoon, maar dit besloot Schlijper niet te doen. Hij bedacht een ludieke manier om bij het hoofdkantoor zijn beklag te doen.

Poederbrief
Uit protest tegen de grote hoeveelheid reclame, besloot Schlijper een poederbrief naar het hoofdkantoor te sturen. Geen echte uiteraard, want dan was hij zichzelf mooi te dom af geweest. In dat geval kon hij immers zelf een flinke straf tegemoet zien.
Hij deed dan ook geen biologische ziekteverwekkers in de brief. Nee, hij besloot het ludiek te houden en koos voor poedersuiker. Op Twitter maakte hij melding van zijn actie en dat maakte behoorlijk wat los op het sociale medium.
Reactie Postcode Loterij
Doordat de Tweet van Schlijper zoveel los maakte, bereikte het bericht ook de Postcode Loterij zelf. Zij waren echter niet gediend van de geplande actie van de Amsterdammer. Hij ontving dan ook al snel een reactie van de loterij.
Hierin stond dat de Postcode Loterij op de hoogte was van zijn plannen. Ook werd vermeld dat zij de politie alvast op de hoogte zouden brengen van de poederbrief. Want ja, het verschil tussen biologische ziekteverwekkers en poedersuiker is ook lastig waar te nemen.
Uitschrijven voor reclame
Dankzij reclame via de post blijf je op de hoogte van interessante aanbiedingen. Veel mensen zitten hier echter niet op te wachten. Uitschrijven voor deze reclame is niet mogelijk. Ja, door een ‘nee-nee-sticker’ op je brievenbus te plakken. Al heeft dit nog niet altijd zin, zoals je al kon lezen in bovenstaande tekst.
Veel bedrijven en organisaties kiezen er tegenwoordig voor reclame te maken via de mail. Zo kunnen zij makkelijk en snel een grote doelgroep bereiken. Voor deze reclame kun jij je vaak makkelijk uitschrijven. Dit doe je door onderaan de mail op ‘uitschrijven’ of ‘afmelden’ te klikken. Bij brievenbusreclame bestaat deze mogelijkheid niet. Toch zijn er genoeg mensen die het prettig zouden vinden wanneer deze mogelijkheid wel zou bestaan!
